Colorful 6'7" x 10'3" ft A+ condition clean hand knotted authentic antique rug (early 1900s estimate). Very fortunate field tone with light and dark shades, jewel tones. This piece has been professionally cleaned with no stains, tears, holes, animal or smoke. High quality wool that can give many shades depending on angles of light and the pile, lighter or darker. This piece is made of sheep wool and natural vegetable dyes by skilled crafts people with around 200 knots per square inch per foundation layer, very fine with double tied knots. Natural dyes from indigo grape lilac hyacinth and more. Natural dyes oxidize over the century giving light and dark shades of each color called'abrash' by curators, giving lots of tone nuance.
