Like other cities that reside around the western part of Persia, Hamadan produces fine, coarse carpets woven together with the symmetric Ghiordes or Turkish knot. Due to the influence of the area's ethnic diversity, the Hamadan's designs vary to such a degree it's one of the most unique Oriental rug styles on the market.
