8x11 GREEN ANTIQUE RUG HAND-KNOTTED VINTAGE handmade handwoven blue carpet 8x10
7'9 x 11' delightful vintage and authentic piece, very finely and completely hand knotted with lustrous rich kurk lamb wool and vegetable dyes (early 1900s estimate). Professionally cleaned with no holes, tears, animal or smoke. Excellent condition for the age as well. Very rare color palette of greens and blues, multiple shades of each light and dark. About 200 individually hand tied knots per square inch in this piece with each also tied twice for durability upon two foundation layers (100 per layer per inch). Colors include in my opinion, in my lighting, a sea foam green / blue background with accents of light blue, navy blue, indigo blue, lilac blue, turquoise, teal, green, coral, cream, earth tones and more. Really this is a unique one of a kind antique in excellent condition for the age at that from a bygone era. Old world dye techniques unmatched. See all 12 images and closeups.
