6'6 x 10' ft excellent condition antique, hand knotted, rug (early to mid 1900s estimate) made of fine purpose bred wool and vegetable dyes by skilled craftspeople of a bygone era of quality. No stains, holes, tears, animal or smoke. About 200 individually hand tied knots per square inch with each one also double knotted.

Several million hand tied knots. Red spectrum background with dark navy blue border and accents including mid blue, gold, earth tones, cream and more! Natural dyes oxidize at different rates giving lighter and darker shades of red and blues as seen in images, a beautiful affect called'abrash' by curators and collectors. Old World quality and dye methods unmatched today.
