5x10 ANTIQUE RUG HAND-KNOTTED wool GEOMETRIC handmade vintage heriz big runner
5'2" x 9'10" very nice antique and clean hand knotted authentic rug (early 1900s estimate south caucas / caucasian regions) made of wool and vegetable dyes. No tears, holes, animal or smoke. Even pile and finely double hand knotted upon two foundation layers. Natural dyes oxidize over the century giving numerous shades of each main color, lighter and darker shades (called'abrash' by curators and collectors). Red blue indigo lilac green saffron cream and earth tones.
