4'1 x 8' A+ excellent top condition and clean vintage rug (mid 1900s est caucas / caucasian regions) made of wool and vegetable dyes. Wool pile on wool foundation! No holes tears rips stains animal or smoke. Double tied knots on two foundation layers. Field is a very dark blue that can appear black with accents of lighter blue green purple teal and more.

Natural dyes oxidize over the century giving lighter and dark shades of each colors, a beautiful affect called'abrash' by curators and collectors. Finely hand knotted with 100 knots per square inch per foundation layer, effective 200 kpsi.
