4' x 7'9 excellent condition for the age and clean hand knotted vintage and authentic rug (very early 1900s estimate north caucas / caucasian regions). Made of fine wool and natural mineral / vegetable dyes by skilled crafts people. Rich spectrum of warm shades in the background from pomegranate, beet and vermilion.

Blue dark and light from indigo and lilac. Purple magenta and pink from beet. Natural dyes oxidize over the century giving lighter and darker shades of each color, called'abrash' by curators and collectors. Very versatile and certainly one of a kind.
