10x14 ANTIQUE WOOL RUG HAND-KNOTTED oriental BIG VINTAGE HANDMADE carpet rust
9'10" x 13'5" excellent condition genuine antique rug completely hand knotted with fine silky durable kurk sheep wool and natural vegetable dyes (very early 1900s estimate). Professionally cleaned with no stains, holes, rips, tears, animal or smoke. Millions of individually hand tied knots in this rug. Each knot is also tied twice upon two foundation layers each with 200 kpsi, effective total 400 knots per square inch.
Antiqued coral rust type field with accents of blue, turquoise aqua, green, brown, cream, and more. Natural dyes oxidize over the century giving darker and lighter shades of each major color, a beautiful affect called'abrash' by curators and collectors. Vegetable dye sources of pomegranate beet madder root indigo lilac hyacinth larkspur weld and more.
